Comment from the artist
Music always is with me when I paint. In this instance, I honour an immortal musical Maestro, Vivaldi.
I did this work Cubist-styled because, for me, Vivaldi's music is kind of Cubist. That is: it is multifaceted, with lines converging in several points, while transporting us in many directions and leaving us with a sense of life and enjoyment. There are not many realistic representations of Vivaldi one can start with, as only one portrait of the great musician is known. The selection of colours respects the Red Priest.
It is interesting to mention that the upper portion of the violin neck sketches a profile of the same Vivaldi.
