The theatre is another of those artistic disciplines that attract and inspire me. Because, for me, each one of us conducts or interprets his own theatrical role as we go from joy to sorrow according to the events that stamp our passage in this world.

This painting is made of two beings each one writing simultaneously on both sides of the same sheet of paper, joy/sorrow. This page will later add itself to their clothes and including to their skin, as if they were composing their diary or their great work. On their heads, a pair of wings and a theatre roof; the first ones so that they may liberate and set free their fantasies; the second symbolizing the accumulation of masterworks written by Man over the centuries.

Thus, each being personifies the two counterparts of theatre, tragedy and comedy. In the background, various signs from Egyptian, to Chinese, Arabic, Greek, or that characterize other idioms.

And the whole makes up a human face – Man, himself defined through the word.
