Comment from the artist

Representation of meditation as an act where seemingly we ignore all which surrounds us, while in reality it is quite otherwise. It is rather a question of getting in harmony with a whole.

I thus represent a woman, seated, whose silhouette is made out and formed by the birds and flowers, where she is totally integrated. Her glance seems to lose itself in a remote point.

The birds represent the freedom that we can achieve allowing our mind to fly towards a place of our liking. The lines formed by the headfeathers represent the diverse courses which can lead us to this meditation state. The various small faces and profiles hidden away among the flowers and branches represent us, the surrounding onlookers.
