Regrouped, the Four Seasons pay tribute to an illustrious composer whom I admire, Vivaldi.

He is seen wearing the usual white wig of his public life, from which escapes the rich red hair of his private life. His gaze is directed straight at us, serene and serious, intense and meditative, charging into the future. His hair is streaming, carried by the twirling wind of his music.

The city outlined in the background could be Venice, but little does it matter, as it represents this universal location where congregates the very people for whom his music is intended.

The violin recovers here its traditional form, suggested by the warm reddish colour of the wood that dons the head of the maestro.
