Comment from the artist

Representation of an angel, on a window ledge, who hesitates between coming out or not of the twilight, as did several other angels who came out before him, some without success. In fact, two of the latter are now plastered on the walls surrounding the window, itself partially oxidized by time.

In the twilight are outlined other angels in training who will also face this choice between coming out or staying prisoners for ever.

The overall composition speaks of the diverse doubts that inhabit us throughout our life, and of the moment when we may be called upon to plunge and risk it all.
